Hypnotherapy is a profound state of physical and mental relaxation
during which the analytical faculties of the mind are bypassed
and one becomes open to deep and lasting positive change. Trance
is a normal and natural state we all go in and out of every day
- daydreaming, watching tv, staring out the window, missing a turnoff
while driving. Hypnosis can be induced externally and internally. The hypnotherapist is a facilitator who keeps
the client focused on the intention or goal while guiding him or
her through the transformative process. Anyone who can concentrate
and follow simple directions can get results through hypnosis.

A Catalyst for Self Development Throughout History
Hypnosis has been an agent for positive change since Biblical
times. Traditional cultures throughout history developed a variety
of methods for inducing powerful trance states in which they included
activities such as chanting, drumming, dancing or focusing on a
candle flame.
Modern hypnosis was developed by Milton Erickson, and endorsed
by the American Psychiatric Association in 1961. The American Medical
Association has approved the use of hypnotism since 1958.
